Prince with a Thousand Enemies

Richard Adams, the author of Watership Down, died over Christmas.  He was 96.   I only read the book a few years ago, and really love the folkloric aspect of the stories of Frith, El-ahrairah, and the Black Rabbit of Inle.  When I was growing up, it was often said that the book was about communist rabbits, but it was not really about that at all, and was so much more.  It’s a wonderful book!
